BIGGER, BETTER, FASTER, STRONGER – THE 2019 TOYOTA TUNDRA
PERFORMANCE & TOWING
The 2019 Tundra doesn’t mess around, and it has two powerful V8 engines on offer. The standard 4.6L i-Force V8 provides 310 horsepower and 327 lb-ft of torque with a maximum tow rating of 6,800 lbs. The optional 5.7L i-Force V8 pumps out 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque for a maximum tow rating of 10,196 lbs. Both engines are backed by a 6-speed automatic Super ECT transmission with a standard TOW/HAUL mode to make tackling even the toughest loads a breeze.
INTERIOR
Despite all the lavish attention on the 2019 Tundra’s exterior and chassis, Toyota’s engineers didn’t forget the interior. Soft-touch materials and metallic and woodgrain accents lend an inviting atmosphere to the new Tundra. A 6.1-inch touchscreen with an integrated rear-view camera makes hitching a trailer a snap. Under-seat storage, a locking glove box, cavernous centre console, and overhead console means there’s plenty of storage for all your tools.
SAFETY
When you’re hauling loads as large as the 2019 Tundra can, it’s nice to know you’re backed by one of the safest trucks in the business. Toyota’s STAR Safety System combines six state-of-the-art accident avoidance systems to give you total confidence in all conditions. Items like a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and a standard rear-view camera give you eyes in the back of your head. Plus, eight standard airbags ensure you’re protected even if things go wrong.
