Designed specifically for compact hybrid vehicles, the standard eAWD system uses a motor to drive the rear wheels. This provides stability when starting off and when starting off and on slippery and snowy road surfaces.

For added safety and peace of mind, Prius comes standard with a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Safe Exit Assist (SEA). BSM alerts you to the presence of vehicles in adjacent lanes that may have escaped visibility in your side-view mirrors. While SEA alerts you to oncoming traffic before you open the door to exit.
